The mission of Caritas Lithuania is to promote pastoral charitable service in the Church and a sense of social justice and responsibility in society.

The Catholic Church helps the weakest members of its community and society and makes a significant contribution to a socially sensitive society. Caritas Lithuania coordinates Caritas activities in the country and carries out social projects; represents and defends the interests of the poor in international and state institutions in order to build a society based on social justice; informs the public about changes in social life, emphasising the problems that arise; promotes cooperation between Caritas, NGOs and government structures.​
